Hunter F. goes to Chili's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This summer i went to Chile. I had the best time their i visited Easter island, Volcan Osorno, and Torres del Paine.

On Easter Island i saw some weird looking heads. they looked like giants. Easter Island got it's name from when a dutch man visited the island on an Easter Sunday. On the island I took selfies of me and the giant heads.

The mountain is at the tip of Chile and near Antarctica. when i got on the top
of the mountain i felt like I was on the top of the world. Also I could see my apartment from their.

The next place I visited Volcan Osorno, their I got to see an amazing view, you can see the mountain from over 300 miles away!!!!! In Chile the mountain is used for skiing. their are many different ski routes. I never even thought that they would ever get snow and be able to ski!!

                                   ...My fun in Peru...
                        BY: KALLI .H

I ca rumba!!! i had the most fun in Peru it was so super fun i could talk and talk and talk about it!! I have so much i want to tell you.

http://www.gogeometry.com/incas/inca_city_who_found_machu_picchu.htm
Manchu Picchu is the most visited temple in all of Peru i went there. Shore you may think a bunch of rocks and old stairs are SO amazing but it was more than that. it was filled with people and activity and the view! oh gosh it was amazing!!! Did you know that over 5,000 people go every day! That is a lot of people. the locals of Manchu Picchu think that the amount of people that walk on the ruins will ruin it even more.

Next after that me and my friends went to a beach by the clear blue waters of Peru. the beach was called Mancora it was so lovely. we even saw 15 turtles is was so so so so pretty.
lastly me and my girls had a night on the town. We went to Cuzco it fun the town at night was lit up in stars.

Jennalyn S.'s trip to Peru!

Hola, amigos! Just got back from my amazing vacation to Peru! Lots of sights to see, lots of fun to be had! I ate so much food I think I'll explode, probably time to work off all of those extra calories!
One of the great sights to see was the city of Cuzco! The people there were wonderful. The city is the original home of the Incas, with Inca walls and the Inca trail leading up to Machu Picchu. I was able to to attend a festival with the people of the city, which was fantabulous! There were costumes of all colors and styles. I really enjoyed dancing and having fun with the citizens. The culture in Peru is amazing!
Another dazzling place to visit was the breath-taking Machu Picchu! This histtorical "stone city" is known as one of the wonders of the worlds and is believed to have been a royal estate or sacred religious cite for Inca leaders. It has beautiful stone walls and stairs, and for many people (including me), this is the highlight of our visit to Peru!

I was also able to stop by Ventanillas De Otuzco, an ancient Inca cemetery, on my last day in Peru.

The picture above is just a part of the Lost Incan Monuments I visited. If you went there you think it is very interesting to learn about, I know i did.

The second place I visited in Peru was the Incan farmland. I thought the farming land was so cool to look at. The picture below is just a part of the Inca farmland in Peru that I visited.

http://www.lonelyplanet.com/chile/travel-tips-and-articles/76735

First, i went to Torres del Paine's National Park! I saw many different animals! For example, llamas, Patagonian Pumas, and the Andean grey fox!

The next place i visited after Torres del Paine was Easter Island! There, i saw wierd, giant, heads just sitting there on the grass...and there was a whole bunch of them! Made of stone, they are over 40 feet long!!! When i stood next to it i felt really small, but than again I am pretty small!!!

The last place i visited was San Rafael Glacier! It was really cold there because it is right next to Antartica, but it was still REALLY fun! I also saw penguins!!! I got to pet a penguin!

My Amazing Trip to Bolivia by: McKenna V.
http://boliviatourism.wordpress.com/2013/03/18/death-road/

Wow! If you have ever went to Bolivia you would now exactly how I feel. I could still feel the churning of my stomach after I got out of our car. Visiting the seven most terrifying roads to ever drive on was the main part. I'm not sure what go my interested but lets just say its that more than 300 people plummet to death each year. Most people recommended me to bring a parachute with me if we go over board.

Lets just start at the beginning and what I learned. As I stared at the overly happy tour guide I felt like this might be the end of my road in life. Taking a deep breath to calm myself I answered the tour guides question of are you ready. In the inside i'm freaking out but on the outside i'm wearing a mask of steel. Throughout the ride I was taught many things. Only which I listened to see if there was a way to save myself.

While listening I also learned that its know as death road. Me being myself was kind of scared for my life as we almost slipped off a million times. As I remembered only an hour ago i wad climbing part way up the Cordillera Oriental Mountain while I hoped I wouldn't die. It being made more than 80 years old didn't help. During the ride through the tour I remember seeing the mud slides and tumbling rocks. I loved the small waterfalls which made the dirt mud.

It was weird to see that as Bolivia drives on the right side of the road, you would drive on the left side if your on the mountain. One of the things that scared me the most is that there wasn't any rails to stop you from going overboard. But knowing me iv'e always liked a challenge. That is my story of almost dying in Bolivia.

My Trip to Peru by: Jessica C.

Last summer I went on vacation to Peru. I went to Costa Verde beach and went surfing there, I went and saw Machu Picchu, and I went to Church and Covent of San Fransisco. It was hot and humid in some parts and others were dry deserts.

http://filer.livinginperu.com/news/img/CostaVerde_Miraflores.jpg
Costa Verde is well known by many surfers worldwide and is also known as the green coast. Its sunny and bright all the time and the wind creates perfect waves for beginners and experts. I had tons of fun surfing their and it was super easy!

When I was in Peru I went and visited Machu Piccu. The rubble of this lost city was spectacular! The temples were gigantic! It was tiering walking up the steps of the temple. Their was like a MILLION steps! Inside their was beautiful paintings on the wall. Their were also a lot of llamas their.

Lastly, i visited church and covent of san Francisco. Inside it was beautiful! their were paintings everywhere and everything was plated in gold leaf. it was very decorated, every inch of it was decorated really fancy.

after that I decided to go home, but it was still super fun and a trip that I will never forget!

Alina C. Trip To Peru!

                                       My Trip To Peru

I just recently got back from my vacation to Peru. It was so fun!! I definitely want to

go back soon! While I was there I visited  Machu Picchu, the Virgin of Candelaria Feast, and

spotted many natural wonders of Peru.

Machu Picchu is 7000 feet above sea level.  The Incan built structure is called the

"Lost Cities". I hiked for hours on the Incan Trail, but it was totally worth it. The buildings

looked really old. The areas were separated into 3 groups. One for agricultural, urban, and

religious.
The Virgin of Candelaria Feast was amazing!! I watched it on the second of February
http://www.go2peru.com/images/puno_feb10_dia2-390.jpg

but it went on until the first Sunday after it.

This festival is presented in the following

times: trials, novenas, abs festive candles

entry, entry k'apos, eve, February 2,

eighth, veneration, and cacharpari. The main dance was the 'Dance of the Devils'. It was

made by a group of miners trapped in a mine, who tried to resign there souls to the Virgin

de la Candelaria.

I spotted many natural wonders of Peru. This included the Amazon Rainforest,

http://cdn.homedit.com/wp-content/uploads.jpg
which is home for nearly 3000 species of

animals. I also visited the Manu National

Park. The Manu National Park is one of

the worlds most unspoiled tropical

forests. I loved Peru!!

This was by far my best vacation ever!
