Alyssa's trip to Columbia!

Ola everyone! I just got back from my amazing trip to Columbia and would like to tell you all about it. When I first got to Columbia I went to Pasto City, and no not Pasta City. Then I walked along the streets and saw huge, beautiful temples that looked like they were overpowering the whole city. Then as I was walking along the streets these very happy people greeted me. Well at least they looked happy because of their face masks. Then they asked me if I wanted to watch the Black and White Carnival with them. "Whats that?" I asked. "It's where we celebrate our cultural differences with Columbia and the rest of the world. Oh its wonderful, theres live music, dancing, and confetti floating everywhere in the air." they told me. It sounded fun so I agreed and I was so glad I did because it was so much fun.

Then next day I was so exahusted from the Carnival, but I was ready to go on another adventure.I decided to go see the Amazon Rainforest. When I arrived all I could see were trees and water but as I got further into the rainforest, there was much more things to see. Such as trees filled with tropical fruit like bannanas. There was also a time when I was in there and I almost stepped on an anaconda. I wasn't looking where I was stepping because I was to busy focused on how beautiful and so naturaly green the rainforest was. So I was about to step on it when it hissed at me and I ran off screaming. Ok I really have to be more carefull, I thought. Then, of course I had to see another dangerous animal, a jaguar, but luckily it was sleeping. So I had to tip-toe over it to get away because it was blocking my way. As I was walking I heard a loud screach that sounded like a bird.So I looked around but there was no sign of any birds, so I kept on walking but then I heard it agian. Pretty soon a huge colorful bird came flying by me. It almost gave me a heart attack, because I was not at all expecting that. Well now I kind of wanted to get off this rainforest before I could meet any other scary creatures. So I hedded out of the rainforest becuase I decided that I had enough for the day.

When I woke the next morning and I was feeling tropicalish.Meaning I wanted to go the beach. So I went to the Taganga beach and just sat on the warm sand with my tropical strawberry mango smoothie that I had bought. The next thing that I did was go snorkeling because I couldn't just sit and watch the beautiful ocean bringing up sparkeling blue waves and not see what lies beneath it. For all I know I could find burried treasure. So I put on my snorkeling gear and swam around the ocean. Of course I also had to bring my water proof camera to take pictures of rare objects. Speaking of rare I actually did see something, picture worthy. I took a picture of a crowd of yellow and bright blue fish swimming in the water. I also saw a huge puffer fish that I remmembered someone told me was poisinous, so I made sure to stay as far away from that fish as possible. Then just my luck the puffer fish spotted me and started chasing after me,so I made a swim for it. I swam away so far that I was back up at the surface agian. I better stay up here so I dont swim into it agian.  I thought as I got up out of the water. My legs and arms were tired of swimming anyway.

I had such a good time on my trip to Columbia. It was such an amazing experience and I hope I get the chance to do it agian.
