Amanda C. My Trip To Peru!!!

     
       Guess What????? I just went to this amazing place called Peru!!! It was so fun and exciting!!!!

         First I went to the Virgin Candelaria Feast on February 2nd! I watched and listened to music and dance being organized  by the Regional Federation of Folklore. It was very entertaining to watch the different culture of the people in Peru. The dancing was expressed with costumes and the costumes are very colorful and unique. The celebration was filled with over thousands of people!! I learned that the parade had been around since 1960! It was quite a show!! \

     After the parade I went to the Nazca Lines! These lines are hundreds of kilometers long!! The geoglyphs are living creatures, plants, imaginary beings, and geometric figures! This type of art was very interesting!! I heard many different theories about these lines and how they were created from aliens to a giant seismograph!!

    Finally the last thing I decided to do was go bird watching! The birds are very colorful and pretty!! I saw several exotic birds!!! For example I saw the Crested Quetzel, Blue and Yellow Maccaws, and the amazilia veridicauda!! These birds were so beautiful!!
     Sadly the trip came to an end and I had to go home. Going to Peru was an amazing trip though!!
